I'm Leslie and I'm a member of the Summer Learning Journey team. I live in Canada which is a country on the other side of the world from New Zealand. It's actually winter time where I live. Isn't that hard to imagine?
It's so nice to have involved in the program this summer - good for you!
I certainly agree with you that lions are strong and powerful animals with sharp teeth that are ideal for catching their prey.
In the book by J K Rowling, the beasts she talks about are created by her imagination. And that's what we thought you might use when talking about a beast for this activity. The idea is to create and describe a beast from your imagination. It could be a beast with scaly skin, like a fish, big sharp teeth, like a lion, and a long tail. Or it could be a beast with very different qualities.
I'm glad that you tried this activity. I hope you'll try to do more. It's very fun to read your posts.
